Welcome Reception

A drinks reception will be held at the Millennium Point's Thinktank, which is Birmingham's award winning new science museum and the main visitor attraction at the conference centre. It takes the visitors on a journey of discovery from past through to the present and into the future.
Drinks and canapés will be served on ground floor of the museum which focuses on the Birmingham's past. The evening will be an informal get together for delegates, guests and exhibitors to meet and for the local hosts to extend their welcome to everyone at the Birmingham meeting.
SBNS Gala Dinner
Thursday 23 April 2009 - 8 pm to 11.30 pm
The Gala Dinner will be held at Birmingham's Town Hall which is only a short stroll from the main meeting hotel.
All delegates and exhibitors are welcome to attend. Tickets will be available online via the registration page. Admission will be by ticket only which must be purchased in advance of the date. Dress code: Black tie.
Town Hall has undergone a £35m renovation, to return it to its former glory. Acclaimed at its opening in 1834 as the finest music hall in the country, this Grade 1 listed landmark has been lovingly and painstakingly renovated by a dedicated team of conservation and construction professionals. Since that time, its imposing neo-classical design has dominated the City centre’s Victoria and Chamberlain Squares.
